During our month long trip, we saw one bear, dozens of whales and hundreds of
eagles. We met some interesting people and weathered one storm. We soothed
our smelly bodies in two of the nicest natural hot springs on earth and
watched some of the fastest saltwater rapids on the West Coast of North
America. We spent a night in the middle of Queen Charlotte Sound that gave
me nightmares for a week. We visited places like Desolation Sound, Nakwakto
Rapids, Prince Rupert and Gwaii Haanas. We crossed the incredibly shallow
Hecate Strait, rounded Cape Caution and got within a stones throw of
Cape Saint James. All in all, it was quite an adventure.
The story is organized into 14 chapters and is over 55,000 words long. If
you are not a big reader, the pictures speak for themselves. You can either dive
right in to chapter 1 or go to
the table of contents. If you are a cruiser or
adventurer looking for information on a specific place, there is
an alphabetical index of all locations listed in
the story.
