Wallpaper & Background Installation Instructions
These instructions are for people using Windows 9x. I am not familar with how
desktop backgrounds work in the Mac OS or in Linux. Please feel free to
email me if you
are familar with those operating systems & can provide me with instructions.
- Determine what the resolution of your display is.
In Windows 9x, you do this by by going to START | Settings | Control
Panel. Once the control panel is open, double-left-click on the
'Display' icon. Click on the 'Settings' tab. There should be a small
gray retangle titled 'Desktop Area' and it should say something
like '800 by 600 pixels' or '1024 by 768 pixels'. This represents
your display resolution. After you determine your display resolution,
close the 'display' dialog box and the control panel and return to
your internet browser.
- Select a tgw.net wallpaper that matches your display resolution.
Do this by clicking on the appropriate hyperlink underneath the
wallpaper you are interested in. Wait until the appropriate image displays
in your browser.
- Once the appropriate wallpaper is displayed in your browser, your
browser can help you convert it to the wallpaper on your windows desktop.
If you are running Microsoft Internet Explorer or NetScape Communicator,
all you need to do is right-click on top of the image and select 'Set
as Wallpaper' from the pop up menu.
You can also download three images from any collection (all
three resolutions) in a Self Extracting WinZip file. Here are links to
download those Self Extracting WinZip files:
