Many thanks to everyone who has emailed me over the years with compliments
on the site. The positive feedback keeps me at it. Unfortunately, I lost all
the pre-2000 emails and many of the 2002 emails due to email system changes
and hard drive crashes. However, below is a sampling of the nice comments
I have received (most are excerpted from longer emails). November 2002 I like your page, stories on sailing in the northwest are rare on the net. I am presently preparing my Vagabond 17 for a voyage to Alaska next summer. October 2002 I enjoy your tutorial training on internet. It's very helpful. April 2002 I like your web page--thank you. Your web page and photo essays are superb and have been a real treat for me over the last few years. I am cruising Puget Sound these days... Thank you for your beautiful Lonely Sentinels screensaver. I have just installed it on my computer and am enjoying it. I recognize some of the lighthouses... January 2002 I was searching the web for a nice sailing wallpaper and I am happy that I found your site! Some of the sailing wallpapers are simply great! Awesome! I will put No. 74 straight on my desktop :-) Thanks a lot for your service, I appreciate it very much. I will definitely come back to your homepage to have a look in the future :-) I stumbled onto your site today and just wanted you to know that I have enjoyed (and will continue) your efforts and appreciate the time that has gone in to creating your site. December 2001 I was playing on my new toy tonight, experimenting on Internet, and thought just for the fun of it I would type Kyuquot, B. C. Wow!! to my surprise, there are numerous sights available. I do thank you for your stories of your travels. Thanks so much for the lighthouse and sailing photos. It's relaxing just to view them. Keep up the good work. October 2001 Thought I would just e-mail to say I enjoyed you web site, beautiful photographs--I came across it by accident whilst looking for info on health and safety--the UK Transport and General Workers Union (TGW--now you see the connection) have links to H&S sites! September 2001 Just read the two tales of sailing to Rupert and down the Charlotes. WONDERFUL! July 2001 Thanks for the effort! Loved your photography - you set a high standard. Only comment is why don't you use Quicktime VR instead of "surround video"? May 2001 Hello and congrats on an excellent web page! I was particularly interested in your trip to Prince Rupert. Do you have more photos of Prince Rupert Coast Guard... March 2001 I enjoyed looking at your beautiful photographs of Spain and Portugal very much! I have a driving question for you... February 2001 Hello Tim, some very nice web pages and photos. We took our boat from LA to Glacier Bay in 1990 as a shakedown/experience cruise before our Pacific trip--so we're been in a lot of the same places. Clayoquot Sound, Charlottes, etc. I visited your site today and forwarded it to my hubby. We, too, sail in the NW. We have a Cape Dory 36 Cutter that is moored near Poulsbo. We want to sail around Vancouver Island in 2002 or 2003, and your story of sailing around it is very interesting. Your photography is very good! Keep up the good work. January 2001 Thanks for the information, will spend the next few days reading about your exploits. Great Web Site. December 2000 You have a great web page and I love your cruising stories. You have a great writing style and the content (prose and pictures) is very professional considering you're an "amateur" writer and photographer. November 2000 I have enjoyed reading of your sailing adventure and like the look of your new website. September 2000 My compliments on your excellent site - a most interesting mix of topics. Nice articles and interesting subject. Great pics as well... August 2000 Very nice web site Tim. Am enjoying your stories and photographs. Thanks for all the hard work YOU have done for my enjoyment. My ambition is to sail around the island in my own sailboat which I am presently working on. It is a Frank Carius designed 26 ft blue water, iron keel wood boat with no trimmings. I am still a novice with a dream. Your site and experiences are good reading and I enjoyed. I will use your experiences as a guide in my quest to become a sailor. I just read your "Around Vancouver Island" and I really enjoyed it. The photos were great! Keep up the good work. Great Site Tim... I don't know how I stumbled on it, but I'll have to spread the word, I don't believe many of us NW sailors know about it. Thanks for all the work, hope to see you out on the water. July 2000 I want to thank you for your time put into a great site! I am very lucky to have found it and will be checking in regularly. So far I've been printing your reports for the past hour and can't wait to read them later. May 2000 I found your website after searching on Northernlight for Cape George Cutters... It's a great website which is very well done... I really liked your description of Buccaneer Bay..... I have a cabin up there and was wondering if you had anymore photos....... thanks |
